Duties & Responsibilities

  • Actively representing Charter Bank in the community through volunteering is encouraged.
  • Attend various meetings as scheduled or arranged.  Provide input and information as requested by President and / or other officers.
  • Respond to customer inquiries; practice effective customer service as outlined in the bank’s Customer Service Policy.
  • Look for opportunities to cross-sell bank products.
  • Perform extra department procedures when short-staffed, assisting supervisor and co-workers with job duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for opening, maintaining and closing of all demand and time deposit account types.
  • Provide support related to operational activities and financial services for personal, automobile, and other consumer loans.
  • Cross-sell Bank products and services to promote business, maintaining positive customer relations and referring customers as necessary to appropriate Bank personnel for new services.
  • Assist customers with online banking setup and ongoing maintenance.

 

Required Experience & Skills:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in financial institution Personal Banking area with consumer lending responsibilities or three years of financial institution experience in Personal Banking only.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of all Bank deposit and consumer loan products having the ability to effectively explain differences and make recommendations based on customer needs.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Maintain good computer skills with a proficiency in the Microsoft Suite.
  • Individual must be punctual and dependable.

Brokerage Sales Assistant

  •  Non-exempt, staff position.
  • 40 hours, 8:30-5:00

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with opening, processing and maintaining client accounts and perform file maintenance.
  • Meeting with Investment clients to provide account service.
  • Assist in preparing information and files for client meetings.
  • Work with investment companies to place orders and process service requests.
  • Prepare and send monthly reports to the Bank and Cetera and maintaining regulatory files.
  • Perform various clerical duties such as processing deposits and wire transfers, filing, opening and processing incoming mail, drafting client correspondence.

 

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Must be outgoing and work well with a diverse range of people to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail is required.
  • Cross-sell Bank products and services to promote business, maintaining positive customer relations and referring customers as necessary to appropriate Bank personnel for new services.
  • Individual must be punctual and dependable.

 

Desirable Experience & Skills:

  • Degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience in an investment/brokerage environment is preferred.
  • Prior customer service experience is preferred.
  • Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft suite.
  • Insurance and securities licenses are desirable, or should be willing to obtain them.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change and be willing to work overtime, if needed.
  • Develop, maintain, and work effectively to build positive working relationships with other employees.
  • Develop thorough understanding of bank products both related and unrelated to the Investment Department.

Position Summary:

The ideal Marketing Communication Specialist is a well-rounded individual excited to take on the versatile challenges of being part of a growing marketing team. This person is self-motivated and self-managed, excited to take ownership of daily tasks as well as larger projects. The ideal Marketing Communication Specialist is a team player, willing to learn, teach, and collaborate. The Marketing Communication Specialist works closely with the Marketing Officer to implement the marketing and communications efforts of Charter Bank.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Bank’s website including updating pages to meet SEO optimization.
  • Create and implement a social media plan.
  • Write, edit and coordinate communication with internal and external customers, including emails, event invitations, brochures, and handouts
  • Develop and maintain blog, including monthly financial education pieces
  • Create and implement consistent communication for Business & Mortgage departments
  • Plan and implement internal events
  • Assist with community events
  • Perform all necessary compliance activities including obtaining proper approval for all marketing and communication materials 

 

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, anticipating and resolving problems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with appropriate prioritization in achieving results
  • Copywriting skills; ability to write persuasive copy that drives action
  • Relationship building; ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, marketing or related field.  Associate Degree would be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Marketing experience, preferably within a banking environment.
